Job Title: MIG WelderJob Description

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our high‑volume, fast‑paced production environment. In this role, you will perform pulse MIG welding on mild steel using weld fixtures and weld symbols to complete units within standardized cycle times. Welders average 2,000–2,500 welds per day, with a strong emphasis on consistency, cosmetic quality, and team‑based productivity. Each welder contributes to the completion of a unit before passing it to the next station, and performance is measured by the weld cell as a whole, not individual output.

• Perform pulse MIG welding on mild steel using weld fixtures and weld symbols.
• Produce consistent, cosmetically clean welds that meet quality standards.
• Load and unload metal components into fixtures throughout the production process.
• Work collaboratively with other welders in a production‑line environment.
• Support weld cell productivity while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Pulse welding.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to read and interpret weld symbols.
• Comfortable working in a hot, physically demanding environment.
• Strong memorization skills for repeatable production tasks.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment without air conditioning, which can become hot.
• Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and repetitive motions.
• Must meet strict attendance standards:
  • More than 4 occurrences in 6 months may result in termination.
  • Attendance issues in the first 30 days may lead to immediate termination.
• Required PPE: weld helmet, gloves, weld jacket, steel‑toe boots, ear plugs.
• Personal welding helmets are welcome.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
