Must have good personal hygiene and be neat in appearance. Requires valid Florida drivers license a good driving record and adequate insurance coverage. Must have an excellent knowledge of the Palm Beach County road systems. Works well under stress and can effectively handle multiple activities at once. Requires excellent interpersonal organization and time management skills.
Trustbridge Hospice a part of Empath Health is seeking a dependable and customer service oriented DME Technician / Driver to join our team in Deerfield Beach.
This full-time position works Monday through Friday 1 p.m. 9 : 30 p.m and weekend / on-call based on departmental / company needs.
Since 1978 Trustbridge Hospice has cared for more than 200000 South Florida families. As a community-based nonprofit we provide 24 / 7 hospice and palliative care along with caregiver support and bereavement services for families facing serious illness.
What Youll Do
- Provides pick-up and delivery services for all DME and oxygen equipment to patients and families.
- Instructs clients as to the proper use of equipment.
- Responsible for the final inspection of equipment prior to delivery.
- Completes home safety assessment relating to patients environment for safety purposes.
- Maintains quality compliance and adheres to all infection control practices and policies.
- This position involves direct contact with patients and families so must communicate effectively and provide a high level of customer service.
