Description

Position Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for providing on-site support to Green Bay Packaging's customer base in the Mid-Atlantic region including Pennsylvania, typically 3-5 times per week. Under the general direction of the Director of Sales, this role focuses on identifying, developing, and converting new opportunities into successful business relationships while managing and growing existing accounts. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a continual understanding of the current corrugated marketplace and general market conditions
  • Provide information and process requests for samples and price quotations using general and online commerce methods
  • Identify and pursue new customers that align with the divisional business model
  • Make regular service calls to assigned major accounts to assess service levels
  • Promote new and additional services and products to both existing and Prospective customers
  • Maintain accurate records of existing accounts and update information as needed
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative in customer interactions
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to help others and deliver excellent service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of outside sales experience
  • Strong work ethic with high levels of self-motivation, passion, and Engagement
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Experience in cold calling and successful prospect development
  • Corrugated industry experience preferred
