How will you contribute to the team?

Prepares detailed design documents, evaluation reports and engineering studies.

Provides technical oversight of design staff and team members for water and wastewater pipeline and pump station projects.

Defines scope and budget of projects, with full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and executing project assignments.

Selects problems for investigation, developing novel approaches and solutions to technical problems.

Conducts quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, evaluations, and specifications developed by design staff for accuracy and completeness, performing site inspections and reviews, and conducting or overseeing remedial design work.

Provides bid phase and construction phase services.

Keeps abreast of state-of-the-art methods and developments in area of specialization.

Recommends changes or improvements to plans and programs.

May function as the project manager for routine to semi-complex projects.

Understands, manages and maintains client project goals and expectations.

Identifies new opportunities and actively pursues work with existing clients.

Responsibilities may include marketing, negotiating contracts, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination and resources allocation.

Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred. This level may be achieved by Engineers with seven years of experience since B.S. or 6 years since M.S. Typical incumbent has ten to fourteen years of experience.

Proven technical writing and communication skills. Incumbent may be eligible for project management training.

P.E. license is required.
