Tester Technician
What challenges can you expect?
- You perform testing and troubleshooting on substation apparatus and power transformers equivalent to NETA Level 2 or NETA level 3 testing capability.
- You support verification of alarms, system protection schemes, and control wiring
- You follow OEM, utility, and end‑user testing specifications
- You document test results accurately and prepare customer reports
- You work safely with industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles
- You follow all safety and environmental protocols
What do we expect from you?
- You bring 3–5 years of experience in electrical testing or field services, ideally with substation or transformer testing
- You can read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- You demonstrate strong attention to detail and safe work habits
- You use Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools with confidence
- You hold a high school diploma or GED
- You have a valid driver’s license and can pass background and drug testing
- You are willing to travel up to approx. 80% across the U.S., including weekends and holidays
- You communicate effectively in English for documentation and safety‑critical tasks
Nice to have:
- You have experience with substation apparatus or transformer maintenance
- You are familiar with electronic test software
- You have experience mentoring or guiding field crews
- You have experience preparing OEM or utility testing documents
- You hold a Class A CDL
