Exciting Opportunity for a Heart Failure / Shock Cardiologist in an Academic Setting

We are looking for a qualified Heart Failure Cardiologist to take on a leadership role in the management of cardiogenic shock and advanced heart failure at SSM Health-Saint Louis University Hospital. This position offers a chance to establish innovative inpatient shock management protocols while creating a comprehensive hub-and-spoke shock referral network.

The primary clinical focus will be on the inpatient care of patients experiencing shock and advanced heart failure. Additionally, our physicians engage in outpatient and outreach clinics, allowing for a balanced practice. Those with experience and interest in imaging may also have related responsibilities. Administrative duties will include protocol development related to percutaneous mechanical cardiac support and pharmacologic treatment escalation, with the opportunity for Medical Directorship based on demonstrated experience and commitment to program growth.

Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training in interventional heart failure, advanced heart failure, or interventional cardiology, and a Clinician Scientist track will be available for suitable applicants. Candidates must hold active medical licenses in Missouri and Illinois before starting.

Requirements :

• Board certified / board eligible in cardiology.
• Academic appointment will align with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
