Financial Accounting Manager
2020 Companies is now interviewing for a Full-Time Financial Accounting Manager. The Financial Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the revenue section of the P&L as well as the financial reporting process. This person will also lead the Accounts Receivable team and the end-to-end AR process and tasks. Additionally, this person will manage the following financial activities including but not limited to revenue month-end close, revenue and gross margin analysis, financial statement preparation and reporting, and reimbursable expense invoicing and reconciliation. Lead and develop the team to ensure success. Partner and work closely with all internal and external business owners.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, self-starter, independent thinker, and problem solver, who has the ability to be in the details but also step back and look at the big picture. This person is one who is comfortable leading a team but also willing to pitch in to assist with whatever is needed. We are looking for someone who can contribute as a leader in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Job Description
Responsible for leading, coaching, training, and developing the team to ensure successMonitor and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Manage the Accounts Receivable team and the end-to-end AR process including but not limited to client invoice delivery, invoice input into the accounting system, collection management, and reconciliation and reportingLeads the month-end close and financial reporting process for revenue, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions and financial statement completenessPartner with business owners to fully understand underlying assigned business segments and operational processesReview and analyze revenue and gross margin results at a program level to ensure accuracy, understand trends, and identify margin opportunitiesPerform detailed review, analysis, and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accountsResponsible for the financial reporting process and the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including financial packages, analysis, and all supporting reportsManage the reimbursable invoice process ensuring accurate and timely invoice preparation of reimbursable expenses to clients and reconciliation of reimbursable revenue to reimbursable expenses to ensure completeness for assigned business segmentsUnderstand each client contract and ensure expenses are being invoiced within the terms of each client contractResponsible for various tax filings such as sales / use and gross receipts tax and unclaimed property reportingResponsible for preparation of revenue apportionment for state tax filingsEffectively manage the relationship with both internal and external customersEffectively support senior management on ad-hoc reporting and projectsSuccessfully create strategies to ensure individual and team objectives are met in a timely mannerDrive process improvement initiatives to develop standardization in processes and controls across the organizationParticipate in annual audit ensuring successful completion within defined timeframesEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and other practices set forth by executive managementPerform all other duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required5+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience3+ years of management experienceUnderstanding of GAAP and the application of suchProject accounting experience preferredAdvanced knowledge of ExcelStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skillsAbility to be an "out of the box" thinkerAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to train and manage staffAbility to work with little to no supervisionSelf-starter with the ability to multi-taskMeticulous attention to detail but the ability to step back and analyze big pictureExcellent prioritization and organizational skills to ensure deadlines are achievedEffective communication skills (both verbal and written)What You Can Expect From 2020 Companies
