The Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our founding team in San Francisco. In this role, you’ll design, build, and ship the next generation of our financial platform, touching everything from core backend services to third-party integrations and deployment pipelines.

This is an opportunity to make a significant impact early on, with ownership over critical parts of the stack and a direct hand in shaping both the product and engineering culture.

What You’ll Do

Design and develop new backend features that extend the capabilities of our core platform

Build and maintain APIs powering a distributed, cloud-based infrastructure

Architect and scale our next-generation deployment pipeline and cloud systems

Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., Stripe, CapitalOS) into our financial products

Collaborate closely with the front-end team to deliver seamless user experiences

Write clear documentation and communicate design decisions across the team

What We’re Looking For

Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills

5+ years building and deploying distributed cloud systems in production

Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud environments

Excellent communication skills and ability to work asynchronously

A bias toward simplicity, clarity, and high-impact execution

Bonus Points

Expertise in Python, Django, and modern backend frameworks

Experience working in high-growth startups or with distributed teams

Proven track record of deploying and scaling applications in AWS
