Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic Needed Immediately!

Pay $30-$40 p / hr

Job Description

We are seeking two highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics / Technicians to join our team. This position offers a first shift opportunity with ample overtime available. Mechanics will work in both shop and field environments, troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and identify and address Service Center hazards.
• Collaborate with the Service Center Supervisor and review work orders.
• Inspect equipment to identify service or repair needs.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Test components using diagnostic devices.
• Disassemble units to inspect for wear and repair.
• Follow manufacturer documents and checklists for thorough maintenance.
• Test-drive equipment post-maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
• Complete service records and tag equipment / tools.
• Respond to emergency calls outside normal business hours.
• Maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.

Work Environment

This hybrid role involves work both in the shop and in the field. Candidates must have a valid driver's license to travel as needed. Work conditions include frequent indoor work, periodic outdoor exposure, and infrequent travel. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role involving lifting, standing, and manual dexterity.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Davidson, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $70000.00 / yr.
