Hire Type : Long term contract (Potential to go direct in 2026)

Salary : $40-60 / hrly

Our client’s Product Development Center, located on the north side of Chicago (Ravenswood Area), specializes in prototype development and product engineering . They are seeking a hands-on Product Design Engineer to support ongoing product development and design improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Modify and refine existing product designs based on prototype testing and engineering feedback.
• Create and update SolidWorks 3D models, drawings, and documentation in accordance with established revision and design control processes.
• Participate in design reviews, verification / validation activities, and cross-functional development discussions.
• Ensure compliance with Design Control procedures and relevant regulatory standards (ISO 13485 preferred).
• Collaborate closely with prototyping, testing, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Support documentation updates, drawing revisions, and engineering change processes.
• Work with mechanical assemblies that include moving parts, mechanisms, springs, and collapsible components .
