Position Overview : Managed Care Liaison Consultant
A Managed Care Liaison Consultant is responsible for assisting our clients with complex issues that arise across the various steps of patient stays with the goals of ensuring that appropriate insurance coverage / approval is secured, and corresponding claims billed for services are processed and paid out accordingly. The Managed Care Liaison Consultant reports to the Director of Liaison Services.
Key Results Area
- Puts forth best efforts to learn and understand full training provided upon onboarding.
- Handles client outreach including patient coverage determination, prior auth resolution, claims resolution, carve-out obtainment, and consulting as related to managed care admissions and claims.
- Maintains a full caseload (approximately 40-50 tickets) while ensuring that each case is being addressed appropriately and timely.
- Respond to incoming client requests promptly within 3 business days while still prioritizing time-sensitive cases accordingly (within 24 hours).
- Responds to incoming client requests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner.
- Collaborates with other Liaison team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Collaborates with other Guided Care teams for such enrolled clients as necessary to secure accurate case assessments.
- Participate in 1 : 1 meeting with the Supervisor monthly.
- Communicates respectfully with colleagues and leadership.
- Assists in handling additional cases during downtime or a lull in individual caseload.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintains attendance as scheduled, time clock check-ins, and takes PTO according to HR policies.
- Agree to uphold and practice company principles (GUIDE) in all work-related interactions.
Requirements : Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.3 years of administrative healthcare experience within the SNF field preferred.SNF BOM, Admissions, AR experience preferred.Excellent proactive written and verbal communication skills.Independent, self-motivated, with a desire for continued education in the field.Innovative detail-oriented professional with strong research and organizational skills.Ability to effectively multi-task while maintaining organization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong evaluation and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Thrives in a fast-paced, and at times high-pressure environment.Solid collaborative skills with the team and clients.Ability to work remotely and autonomously.Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships.Ability to communicate and exchange information and ideas so others will understand.Demonstrate discretion, sensitivity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.Quality camera to be used when joining internal and client meetings scheduled via zoom or teams or other video meeting platforms. When participating focuses on the matter at hand. Refrains from actively perform other duties even if work related.Joins scheduled client meetings timely, best practice 3 minutes prior to meeting time, to ensure best self and company representation.Microsoft Office proficiency, with the aptitude to learn new programs.Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Works in well-lit / ventilated office, and as indicated remotely.When joining video meetings, uses camera as mentioned above and presents with a blank wall or other professional background as approved by HR.Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move about the work area intermittently throughout the workday.Ability to observe details at close range.Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
