Radiation Therapist

Job description : Job Overview :

Join our Radiation Oncology Center client who has been providing oncology services in Pierce County for nearly 40 years. They are independently owned and are established leaders in the delivery of compassionate, leading edge oncology care.

Duties :

• Perform radiation therapy treatments using linear accelerators or other radiation equipment
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment delivery
• Monitor and assess patient reactions to treatment and report any issues to the oncologist
• Maintain detailed records of treatment plans, progress, and outcomes
• Educate patients on treatment procedures and possible side effects
• If you are not already in the Seattle / Tacoma area, this role requires relocation

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field

Current certification as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification.

Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Experience in acute care or critical care settings preferred

Familiarity with radiation therapy modalities including mammography and CT scans
