Senior Sourcing Manager
The Senior Sourcing Manager owns strategy and execution for a defined commodity across multiple sites / programs. The role delivers Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) by building multi-year category strategies, optimizing the supplier base, negotiating long-term agreements, and mitigating risk to ensure continuity of supply and competitiveness.
Role Responsibilities :
- Category strategy and roadmap : Develop a short- and long-term commodity strategy tied to demand forecasts, technology roadmaps, Make / Buy, and should-cost; segment spend and define value levers.
- Supplier portfolio optimization : Rationalize / dual source the supply base, qualify new suppliers, and drive supplier development to improve capability, capacity, and quality.
- Cost productivity and TCO : Build should-cost models, run clean-sheet analysis, leverage market indices, and deliver annual cost savings while protecting quality and delivery.
- Risk management
- Quality and delivery performance
- NPI and lifecycle management : Ensure sourcing readiness for NPIs and ramps; manage transitions, tooling / fixtures, obsolescence, and end-of-life strategies.
- Stakeholder leadership : Align with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Program teams; run governance cadences and executive readouts.
- Compliance and ethics : Uphold export control, trade, anti-corruption, EHS, and data privacy requirements; ensure audit-ready documentation.
- Continuous improvement : Standardize processes, deploy KPI dashboards, and drive kaizen to reduce cycle times and variability.
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, and / or Business, from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 4 years Sourcing Commodity and / or Category Management experience or a high school diploma and with a minimum of 5 years Sourcing Commodity and / or Category Management experienceDesired Qualifications :
Strategic sourcing / category management with multi-site / global scopeProven delivery of cost productivity, supplier performance improvement, and risk mitigationExpertise in negotiations, contracts, and TCO / should-cost analysisFamiliarity with quality systems (e.g., AS9100, PPAP / FAI) and export / trade complianceProficiency with ERP / MRP, eSourcing tools, and analytics (Excel / BI)Strong stakeholder management and executive communicationThe base pay range for this position is $149,000.00 $225,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary / commission based on the plan.
