The Police Officer 2 position provides public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting, and enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.
One year of law enforcement experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION :
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.
Possession of an active Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification may be required.

Compensation : The Police Officer 2 offers a Special Entrance Rate $19.88 per hour.
Applicants must be available to work at all Delgado Community College locations and shifts based upon the business needs of the department.

Applicants must have Civil Service test scores for 2100-Protective Services Exam (PSE) in order to be considered for this vacancy unless exempted by Civil Service rule or policy. If you do not have a score prior to applying to this posting, it may result in your application not being considered.
