School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school-based team. This role is vital in helping students access their education by addressing physical, sensory, and motor development needs. You will work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to ensure students can succeed in their learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine therapy needs in the school setting.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP/504 goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and small group sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success.
• Document progress, maintain records, and prepare required reports in compliance with state and district guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional input for student goals.
• Train staff on classroom strategies, modifications, and adaptive equipment use.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited OT program.
• Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
