Title : Business Analyst (W2 OR 1099)
Interview Process : 1 round, Virtual / Online
Duration of the Contract : 12 months

Work Location : Onsite (5 days in office)
Candidate Location : Candidate MUST be a SC OR NC OR TN OR GA resident.
Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)
- 7+ years of experience in commercial healthcare
- 3+ years of experience in State Medicaid payer system integration and delivery
- Experience working across cross-functional projects
- Familiarity with MITA (Medicaid Information Technology Architecture) business architecture principles
- Knowledge of standard data structures, EDI processes, and related file formats
- Demonstrated ability to innovate business processes, methodologies, and technology solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the Agency and its contractors

Business Analysis & Process Documentation
Evaluate agency needs, business processes, and technical designs to provide recommendations for IT and non-technical solutions.Document current (as-is) and future (to-be) business processes, workflows, and functional requirements.Analyze agency operations to identify process improvement and automation opportunities.Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications.Project Coordination & Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the liaison between business programs and IT teams to ensure technical solutions align with program needs.Facilitate communication between business units, contractors, and IT stakeholders from requirements through implementation.Provide requirements interpretation and guidance to technical and QA teams.Support change management processes including version control, change requests, and traceability.Technical & Analytical Responsibilities
Analyze data requirements, relationships, and business rules.Research, document, and maintain business rules and requirements in the designated repository.Conduct requirements development activities including elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and documentation.Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and recommend potential solutions.Collaboration & Support
Interact with internal and external partners—including vendors, federal agencies, and state stakeholders.Support decisions related to buy-versus-build options where applicable.Assist in review of test cases and process change requests.Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
