Academic Studies Press, Boston, US, is seeking a Sales Specialist to distribute its publications in Israel and worldwide.

We are a dynamic publishing company specializing in high-quality scholarly and academic titles in English. Our catalog includes titles in different fields and disciplines of humanities, with a focus on Jewish studies and Slavic studies.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Specialist to develop and manage sales of our English-language, primarily non-fiction book portfolio in the Israeli market and worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books, strong relationship-building skills, and experience in library sales and electronic books distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with libraries, bookstores, scholarly and educational institutions, and corporate clients
  • Identify new sales opportunities and market segments for ASP's titles
  • Present product highlights and negotiate sales agreements
  • Manage existing client accounts and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Participate in book fairs, educational conferences, and industry events
  • Provide market feedback and sales forecasting
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Humanities, Marketing, or Business)
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in publishing, education, or cultural sectors
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the US and Israeli book market and educational institutions is a plus

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in book publishing or distribution
  • Understanding of scholarly and academic book markets
  • Existing relationships with Israeli bookstores or educational institutions
