Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $70,000 to $80,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities :

Assist in general accounting functions including accounts payable / receivable and general ledger maintenance.

Process transactions accurately and timely and maintain proper aging schedules.

Assist in month-end closing processes, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.

Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures.

Administer fixed assets, track additions, dispositions, and manage depreciation schedules.

Assist with annual financial audits, insurance renewals, and end of policy period audits.

Manage monthly union reporting and maintain city business licenses.

Qualifications :

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

1 to 5 years of experience in General Accounting.

Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support.
