Givens Aldersgate is looking for a Full-Time Lead Driver to provide transportation to the residents of Givens Aldersgate in accordance with the Department of Transportation regulations for Commercial Drivers and Givens Aldersgate policies and this role you will interact with residents family members and other disciplines.

  • Schedule / Availability : Monday Friday (7 : 30 am to 4 : 00 pm)

    • What Youll do :

  • Provide intercampus transportation to residents as requested.
  • Provide support as needed as a driver for medical transportation.
  • Collaborate with coordinators to plan organize and schedule transportation.
  • Monitor registration and adjust vehicles as necessary.
  • Pre-inspect trip locations venues and routes. When Necessary driving to accessibility and general locations to determine if residents physical needs would be met.
  • Perform pre and post inspections of vehicles.
  • Respond to general requests directing residents and guests to their appropriate department and delivering messages in a timely manner.
  • Handle all emergencies immediately according to policies and procedures and inform supervisor.
  • Work with transportation manager to facilitate vehicle maintenance repairs inspection and registration
  • Act as transportation manager when transportation manager is unavailable.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal (Title 22) and state regulations along with company policy and procedures.

    To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and / or ability required.   • CDL (Required)
  • Experience in long-term care is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • 1 to 2 years of customer service experience.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations (tracking mileage making change etc.)

    • Compensation : $19.00 to $22.00 per hour
