Role and Facility Information

The Department of Medical Imaging at Ridge Meadows Hospital is seeking radiologists to join our vibrant and growing community practice, to commensurate with a new MRI service and expansion of existing modalities. Maple Ridge is one of the fastest growing communities in British Columbia, boasting beautiful natural surroundings with a variety of outdoor activities, a diverse population and excellent access to downtown Vancouver. Ridge Meadows Hospital is part of the Fraser Health Authority, consisting of 157 acute care beds and receiving over 43,000 Emergency Room visits annually.

Positions : Locum and permanent full time

Location : Ridge Meadows Hospital

Credentialing : Fraser Health Authority

Compensation : Flat daily rate, based on group fee-for-service

Time required : Negotiable. Call responsibilities are split amongst group members

Daily Duties

• Radiography
• Fluoroscopy
• General ultrasound
• Diagnostic breast imaging
• Musculoskeletal ultrasound
• Computed tomography
• Magnetic resonance imaging
• Variety of image-guided procedures

Equipment currently consists of two dedicated DR radiography units, a Toshiba fixed-fluoroscopy C-arm unit, a GE portable ultrasound unit, four GE fully equipped clinical ultrasound units, a new GE 64-slice CT scanner, and a new, state-of-the-art 1.5T GE MRI unit that came into clinical service in Fall 2020. The Department is proud to be one of two early adoption sites for GE’s AIR ReconTM Deep Learning image reconstruction software.
