Job Description

Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a travel nursing job in Montclair, New Jersey.

Job Description & Requirements

  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift : 10 hours, days
  • Employment Type : Travel
  • Schedule : Call required; weekend shifts as needed
  • EMR : EPIC
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong proficiency in IR workflow and Cath Lab environments
  • Skilled in interpreting rhythms and handling emergent situations
  • Experience with procedural sedation protocols
  • Solid understanding of vascular access, closure devices, and post-procedure monitoring

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care for Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Assist with Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, laser-assisted interventions, and vascular studies
  • Support angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper / lower extremity angiography
  • Administer and monitor procedural sedation
  • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Perform sheath removal and monitor patients post-procedure
  • Utilize vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation and laser safety standards
  • Conduct pressure ulcer assessment and prevention
  • Apply the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale (RASS) for patient monitoring
  • Document patient care accurately in EPIC
