Job Summary – CT Technologist\n\nShift : \n\nSunday : 16 : 00–04 : 30\n\nMonday : 19 : 00–07 : 30\n\nTuesday : 19 : 00–07 : 30\n(Possible variation with another weekday)\n\nThe CT Technologist supports diagnostic imaging by operating multi-detector CT scanners and producing high-quality images for medical diagnosis. This role supports OHSU’s mission through excellent patient care, safety, education, and teamwork. Position works with infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.\n\nRequirements\n\nEducation : \n\nGraduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program\n\nExperience : \n\nProficient in IV / angio-cath starts\n\nAbility to administer contrast via power injector\n\nStrong knowledge of normal / abnormal cross-sectional anatomy, reconstruction techniques, and 3D post- processing\n\nLicensure / Certifications : \n\nOregon Board of Medical Imaging license\n\nValid CPR\n\nARRT (CT) required\n\nIf not CT-certified : Must hold ARRT (R / N) or NMTCB and obtain ARRT CT certification within 6 months\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n1. Imaging\n\nOperate multi-slice CT scanners efficiently and accurately\n\nEvaluate anatomy / pathology and optimize scan quality\n\nApply CT physics and radiation safety, adhering to ALARA\n\nPrepare patients and adjust positioning to reduce artifacts\n\nStay current with evolving CT technology\n\n2. Documentation\n\nVerify orders and protocols in EMR\n\nEnsure accurate patient ID and complete image labeling\n\nComplete proper data entry, billing, and PACS verification\n\nScreen patients for contrast contraindications and administer contrast appropriately\n\n3. Patient Care & Safety\n\nProvide safe, age-appropriate care and clear communication\n\nFollow CMS, OHA, and DNV-GL requirements\n\nMaintain a clean environment and follow Universal Precautions\n\n4. Resource Use\n\nAssist with scheduling, patient transport, and lift teams\n\nParticipate in research and training of students / residents\n\n5. Environment of Care\n\nMaintain equipment cleanliness, supply levels, and quality control logs\n\nRequest equipment maintenance when necessary\n\n6. Professional Behavior\n\nMaintain professional communication, conduct, and reliability\n\nHandle workload changes and stress with a positive attitude\n\nComplete required continuing education\n\nShift Info\n\nNight – 3×12 hours\n\nPrimary shift : 16 : 00–04 : 30
