This Staff Nurse II position supports our outpatient pediatric multi- specialty clinics. This position provides specialized patient care and education for patients receiving treatments examinations a medical office according to established procedures.

This is a weekday daytime position.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Performs and documents assessment of the patient / family (biophysical psychosocial developmental cultural spiritual and environmental); collects and analyzes data from the medical record in order to coordinate patient care.
• Directs and / or provides patient care which may include administering medication performing procedures and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice.
• Provides appropriate counsel and education to patients / family regarding disease process and symptom management.
• Maintains medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information.
• Consults with members of the health care team adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates cost-effective work habits by setting priorities and properly managing supplies and equipment.
• Assists the health care provider with examinations procedures prescription refills and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Participates in quality improvement activities to ensure appropriate clinical outcome.
• Professional contributions including presentations preceptorships / mentorships committee participation community service inclusion on research or professional publications or local regional or national professional organization leadership roles.
• Performs other duties as outlined in specialty-specific job responsibilities.

Salary Range

$60800.00 - $105700.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including ones qualifications and performance equity with others in the department market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
