Atlanta, Georgia Salary Range : $115,000 – $150,000+ (DOE) ️ Commercial General Contractor | Ground-Up Construction Full-Time | On-Site

A highly respected and financially stable commercial general contractor in the Atlanta market is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their growing field operations team. This contractor has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects, maintaining excellent client relationships, and providing long-term stability for employees across the organization. With a strong backlog of ground-up work and upcoming projects across the region, they are seeking a driven field leader who can take ownership of jobsite operations and deliver exceptional results from day one.

Responsibilities

Lead all onsite construction activities from site mobilization through final project turnover.

Manage and coordinate daily work of subcontractors, field crews, suppliers, inspectors, and project partners.

Maintain detailed project schedules, look-ahead, and sequencing plans to ensure timely progress.

Uphold strict safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company protocols, and jobsite safety plans.

Conduct daily logs, weekly subcontractor meetings, coordination walkthroughs, and safety meetings.

Oversee all quality control activities, verifying work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers on RFIs, submittals, change orders, and conflict resolution.

Identify and proactively resolve field issues, delays, coordination challenges, and potential risks.

Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality and workmanship .

Maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners.

Oversee jobsite logistics, manpower planning, equipment coordination, and material deliveries.

Document all field activities accurately and submit daily reports, progress photos, and updates.

Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, integrity, and a strong commitment to teamwork.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction .

Proven ability to manage ground-up commercial projects across sectors such as office, retail, mixed-use, industrial, education, or municipal work.

Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, site logistics, and best practices.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings in detail.

Demonstrated success managing projects ranging from $5M to $50M+ .

Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors simultaneously.

High proficiency in jobsite technology such as project management software, daily reporting tools, and digital plan reading.

Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce consistent safety culture across the jobsite.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain professionalism in high-pressure environments.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary : $115,000 – $150,000+ , depending on experience and project background.
