Job Description

Hybrid : This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Milford Proving Grounds at least three times per week, or as dictated by the business.

The Role :

The Software Design Release Engineer is a leadership position involved in the development and launch of embedded controller products. Responsibilities include creating and leading product plans, ensuring on-time delivery of embedded controllers or sub-components, and providing technical leadership. The role combines technical engineering skills with leadership, offering opportunities to influence others.

What You'll Do :

• Contribute to a culture of innovation, managing programs and collaborating across teams.
• Develop and implement product development and release plans aligned with engineering standards for timely, high-quality delivery.
• Manage part number proliferation for embedded controllers, including software and calibration parts.
• Track, report, and escalate issues, and drive efforts to mitigate risks.
• Lead product issue investigations, process improvements, and quality initiatives.
• Participate in standard meetings and agile ceremonies.
• Provide technical leadership and direction for product issues.
• Mentor and train team members in relevant areas.
