Demonstrated ability to develop in Typescript with React, Material UI, Node.js. Additional technical skills in C#, Python and SQL a plus. Knowledge of the financial markets preferred but not required. Experience working in an Agile environment. Implement backend API endpoints and WebSocket handlers in C#. Collaborate with Design and Product to understand and plan features, implement pixel-perfect designs, and expected functionality. Communication with end users, assessing requirements and managing expectations professionally. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured technology environment. Independent project and time management. Professional, motivated attitude. Stong interpersonal skills. The React Software Engineer (Mid Level) will work with the UI / UX development team and SpiderRock's business stakeholders and designers to build interfaces for our leading-edge web-based products. This is a full-time salaried position that reports to the Head of UI / UX Design and the role will work at our Chicago downtown office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Leverage React to develop highly performant applications that handle heave data flows.
- Implement backend API endpoints and WebSocket handlers in C#.
- Collaborate with Design and Product to understand and plan features, implement pixel-perfect designs, and expected functionality.
- Help to troubleshoot, test, and maintain the quality and security of web applications.
- Produce meaningful unit tests for functionality to ensure backwards compatibility.
- Maintain and promote development best practices and coding standards.
