Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location : Des Moines, IA 50314 (Iowa healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : January 11, 2026

End Date : April 11, 2026

Setting : Resource Pool – Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,630 - $1,750

Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Med / Surg Telemetry RN

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to float within the resource pool and adapt to various clinical units

Successful completion of onboarding requirements : background check, drug screening, health screenings, competency testing, and required documentation

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications and perform clinical procedures according to established nursing protocols

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions

Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and staff

Float to other units within the resource pool as needed to support patient care
