Systems Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing Linux systems while supporting research initiatives and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in system management and demonstrate proficiency in a variety of technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Oversee the deployment and configuration of tools such as Conda and Jupiter

• Provide technical leadership in the administration and management of organizational systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research efforts and operational goals.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

• Implement best practices for system security and data protection.

• Monitor system performance and perform regular updates to ensure smooth operation.

• Utilize Active Directory to manage user access and permissions.

• Support Windows Server environments and Windows 10 systems.

• Work with Dell and Citrix technologies to enhance system functionality

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, specializing in Linux systems.

• Strong understanding of Active Directory and its applications.

• Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 10.

• Hands-on experience with Dell Technologies and Citrix solutions.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

• Knowledge of system security protocols and best practices.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skill
