Must be certified!
Approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience and successful achievement in medications exam.
Knowledge in the use of cleaning / sterilization / disinfections of equipment and instrumentation utilized in the clinical operating room setting.
Desire to work within an Operating Room setting.
BLS required.
Qualified candidate will function under the direct supervision of an RN and assist in Nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient by performing routine & delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the hospital and department.
Candidate will perform technical duties relating to scrub personnel, including precise & efficient reaction to all situations & assist with departmental work as assigned.
Surgical techs have a vital role in creating and maintaining a sterile surgical room and ensure that surgical equipment is functioning properly & safely as well as assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
Must arrive within 1 / 2 hour of getting called in.
