SUMMARY A large hospital in Spokane, WA is searching for a permanent full-time Registered Nurse for their Pediatric ICU. This is a fast-paced unit made up of a fun, energetic staff, including nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, child life specialists, dieticians, NAC and secretaries. It is very much a team-like atmosphere, and teamwork is vital. This is an excellent opporntity to provide quality care to patients in an environment that fosters transparency, respect and partnership! There is also a multitude of opportunity to cross train within the department and its specialties. RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured patient * Administer medication as instructed by physicians * Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition * Collaborate with team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes * Provide a full range of nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems REQUIREMENTS * 1+ year of pediatric acute care experience * Nursing degree/diploma required. Must be willing to obtain a BSN within 3years of hire * A RN with 20 years of RN experience will be exempt from the BSN requirement * Current Washington Registered Nurse (RN) license * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire.
