We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This position offers a contract-to-permanent opportunity in the waste management and environmental services industry. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling customer inquiries, resolving disputes, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities :
- Respond to customer inquiries and address issues through inbound and outbound calls.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer disputes and ensure satisfaction.
- Process service requests, including contract creation, payment collection, and change of address updates.
- Handle billing complaints and coordinate investigations into service failures.
- Manage data entry tasks such as keying production paperwork and inputting order details.
- Conduct interviews with customers and record relevant information in company systems.
- Promote goodwill by delivering services in a detail-oriented and friendly manner.
- Seek cost-effective and environmentally sound solutions to customer service challenges.
- Perform general office tasks, including email correspondence and scheduling appointments.
- Assist with banking deposits and account adjustments when necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a high call volume environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email platforms, and strong keyboarding skills.
- Excellent verbal communication abilities.
- Experience in the solid waste industry or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is highly desirable.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
