Job Title : Information Technology Operations Director
Reports to : Chief Financial Officer
Position Purpose : The IT Operations Director is responsible for strategic leadership and operational management across the Hoffman Family of Companies’ IT function. This role oversees all IT operations, including infrastructure, servers, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, and end-user computing. The IT Operations Director will lead the IT Operations team, including the IT End User Services Manager and the Infrastructure & Server team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions.
This position operates in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment and requires strong skills in prioritization, communication, analysis, project management, people leadership, and solution development.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Partner with business leaders to ensure IT operations effectively support company goals.
- Implement and maintain IT best practices to keep the organization competitive and secure.
- Oversee cybersecurity awareness.
- Serve as the primary liaison with IT vendors, office equipment providers, and telecommunications partners to ensure cost-effective and reliable solutions.
- Engage with staff and managers to assess technology needs and recommend effective solutions.
- Protect company, customer, and employee confidential information at all times.
- Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Oversee procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment, software, and infrastructure.
- Identify infrastructure vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve system security and performance.
- Develop business cases and manage IT projects from planning through implementation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Monitor IT spending and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Perform other IT and management duties as assigned by executive leadership.
Position Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent professional experience in information technology or a closely related field is required.5+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including infrastructure and end-user services.Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 solutions.Familiarity with cybersecurity framework and compliance standards.Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.Experience with SD-WAN, virtualization, and endpoint management solutionsExcellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware / software systems.Proven experience managing IT operations, servers, networks, and cloud environments (Azure preferred)Hands-on experience with managing people. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.Proven experience in migrating and upgrading operating systems and applications.Experience with various office machines including copiers, printers, fax machines, etc.Service-oriented self-starter who takes initiative.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to not only prioritize, but to quickly shift gears and re-prioritize.Strong organizational skills.Ability to write clear and concise user communications, policies, and processes.Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.Ability to travel occasionally, with some overnight stays.Physical Demands
