Material Handler

General Purpose

Receive, count, move, and stage materials for production jobs based on job tickets and schedules in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Track material usage in both hard copy and electronic systems and participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory activities.

Essential Job Functions

\u2022 Work closely with all departments to ensure materials are received and delivered accurately and on time

\u2022 Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and current GMPs

\u2022 Operate forklifts safely and properly

\u2022 Open, prepare, and stage material loads for production

\u2022 Communicate effectively with machine operators and team members

\u2022 Follow all safety rules and procedures

\u2022 Assist with timely and accurate cycle counts

\u2022 Participate in the annual physical inventory process

\u2022 Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies

\u2022 Deliver materials to assigned jobs per job tickets and production schedules

\u2022 Manage time effectively to meet operational needs

\u2022 Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

\u2022 Ability to pass in-house forklift training

\u2022 Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and database use

\u2022 Effective verbal and written communication skills

\u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

\u2022 Ability to work effectively in a team environment

\u2022 Knowledge of, or ability to learn, safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance guidelines, and technical policies

\u2022 Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization

\u2022 Reliable attendance and dependability

\u2022 Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
