This position blends technical fund accounting responsibilities with operational involvement and hands‑on participation in the launch of two newly formed investment vehicles. Working closely with the Assistant Controller and senior leaders, this individual will help design processes, implement accounting infrastructure, and manage ongoing reporting for multiple funds. The role is ideal for someone who wants broader ownership than traditional NAV review and enjoys building systems, structures, and workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage daily and monthly accounting activities for the flagship strategy as well as two new investment vehicles.
- Oversee administrator‑prepared NAV calculations, including valuation checks, pricing, accruals, expense allocations, and performance tie‑outs.
- Maintain internal ledgers and ensure reconciliations across cash, positions, corporate actions, and trading activity.
Investor Transactions & Allocations
Process and track investor flows such as subscriptions, redemptions, capital movements, equalization, and other structure‑specific items.Ensure accurate investor‑level allocations, fee calculations, waterfalls, and accruals.Coordinate with investor relations on onboarding and capital‑related communications.New Fund Launch Support
Partner with legal, operations, and the fund administrator to design accounting policies, reporting formats, valuation methodologies, and workflow procedures for new products.Assist in structuring and documenting rules related to master‑feeder structures, parallel vehicles, and strategy sleeves.Contribute to system configuration, general ledger buildout, reporting automation, and audit preparation.Financial Reporting & Regulatory Support
Prepare schedules for quarterly and annual financial statements and assist with auditor requests.Support regulatory filings (e.g., PF, 13F, ADV amendments) in coordination with compliance.Candidate Profile
3–7 years of experience in hedge fund accounting, operations, fund administration, or asset‑management audit within a public accounting firm.Solid understanding of fund structures such as master‑feeder, parallel funds, co‑investments, and SPVs.Experience supporting new fund launches or overseeing multiple products is strongly preferred.Exposure to crossover strategies or strategies investing in both public and private markets is beneficial.Strong attention to detail, ability to operate in a small, fast‑moving team, and high comfort with Excel, systems, and process creation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
