[job_card.job_description]Work 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM Every other weekend requirement Holiday requirements vary based on unit needs Nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 2, with downgrades staffed at 1 : 5 for medical patients and 1 : 4 for PCU Float to PCU and medical floors as needed Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue Titrate drips including vasopressors, insulin, TNK, heparin, IV antibiotics, and sedatives Care for patients with COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, and neurological conditions Work with ventilators and BiPAPs, troubleshoot respiratory equipment Read and interpret telemetry strips independently Use EPIC charting system Dress code requires navy blue scrubs Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities Driver's license required for verification of distance requirement First week includes system orientation and onboarding, followed by 1-2 12-hour unit orientation shifts Referral bonus
