Senior Engineering Estimator

Summary / Objective

The Senior Estimator develops project estimates and schedules for civil construction projects ($2M-$40M), interprets contract requirements, and mentors junior team members. Experience in heavy highway, earthwork, bridge, and utility construction.

Essential Functions

• Interpret bid documents and construction plans.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs from project plans.
• Define project scope and required disciplines.
• Identify subcontractor roles and DBE participation to meet project goals.
• Identify constructability issues and value engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate pre-bid activities and owner inquiries.
• Prepare and review project estimates and schedules ($1M-$40M).
• Mentor junior estimators.
• Create and deliver project bid packages.
• Oversee junior estimators.
