EHS Manager

A well-established manufacturing company in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead and enhance its Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to shape safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive measurable improvements in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead development and execution of programs to identify, assess, and control workplace hazards, including chemical, physical, and biological risks.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and field measurements; analyze data to guide safety improvements and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain hazardous materials documentation and ensure effective communication of safety protocols.
• Recommend and implement controls to minimize employee exposure and environmental risks.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to management, employees, and regulatory agencies on safety, environmental compliance, and emergency response.
• Develop and deliver employee training on health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Act as primary contact for EHS emergencies, including incident response and reporting.
• Track and report safety performance metrics to leadership and regulatory authorities.
