CNC Programmer

Direct opportunity

Rate : $60-75K

Hours : 7am-3pm

Wilmington OH

Responsibilities :

  • Develop write and implement CNC programs to control automated machinery ensuring they are efficient and error-free.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine dimensions tolerances and the best manufacturing processes.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools set machine speeds and feed rates and manually adjust programs as needed for optimal performance.
  • Monitor production runs to ensure parts are manufactured to exact specifications and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
  • Update and modify existing programs for new parts or different machines and maintain a tooling database.
  • Work with other team members such as machinists and engineers to resolve issues and improve processes.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC programming
  • Trade school certificate preferred
  • Ability to maximum programming for greater efficiency
  • Good working experience with CAM
  • Strong understanding of machining processes materials and CNC machine operation
  • Experience with G-code and M-code and the ability to adapt to different programming languages
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical blueprints and schematics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented approach is crucial for accuracy
  • Knowledge of mathematical principles related to geometry and calculations is important
