Orthopedic Surgery opening in NY- Opportunity in Cooperstown, NY; Albany 75m, Syracuse 80m- Full Time- Permanent Position- BE / BC- NY license; DEA / BLS certificationsJob Duties : - Diagnose, and treat or prescribe a course of treatment, surgery, and therapy for patients with disorders, malformations, diseases of and injuries to the musculoskeletal system- Take and review patient case histories, examine patients and design treatment and therapeutic plans- Order patient X-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests, interpret test results and evaluate examination findings- Perform surgical procedures consistent with training and practice patterns such as back and spinal surgeries, joint replacement surgery, etc., and coordinate operation care with anesthesia staff- Determine procedures for pre-operative and post-operative care, including administering sedatives and prescribing diets- Perform fracture treatment by open or closed methods, using appropriate devices as braces, casts, and splints- Manage and assist in the management of patients suffering from surgical complications- Create treatment plans and write orders on patients charts, which are transcribed and implemented by appropriate staff- Participate in the management of orthopedic surgery services, scheduling of operations, and assignment of surgical staff- Participate in the direction of pre- and post-operative care and operating room management- Manage patient care in hospital and outpatient settingsComp / Benefits : - Salary Range : $500,000 - $600,000- Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards- Medical, dental and vision insurance- Paid time off, including vacations and holidays- Life insurance and disability protection- Paid malpractice- Retirement plan- CME time and money- Moving allowanceAbout the area : Cooperstown is a charming town nestled amidst the scenic beauty of Otsego Lake and rolling hills.
