Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong Playwright automation experience to join our team for a long-term contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automated testing, hands-on experience with Playwright, and a deep understanding of modern QA methodologies and CI / CD processes. This role will involve developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript / TypeScript preferred).
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand functional and technical requirements.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to ensure system stability and product quality.
- Perform regression, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools.
- Enhance automation frameworks and optimize test coverage for scalability and performance.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Support CI / CD automation by integrating tests into pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Ensure QA best practices and maintain test documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
58+ years of overall QA Engineering experience , with strong focus on automation.2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript or JavaScript preferred).Strong experience with frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or similar test frameworks.Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, REST APIs).Proficiency with Git / GitHub or similar version control systems.Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.Familiarity with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.Preferred Skills
Experience with other automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, WebDriverIO).Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Performance or API testing experience (Postman, JMeter, Karate).Knowledge of Docker containers and virtualization concepts.
