The Gastroenterology Physician locums role in Arizona requires coverage for 12-hour shifts with 24-hour call for hospital inpatients. Physicians will perform a variety of procedures including ERCP and manage a patient load of 10-15 daily, working independently with hospitalist support. The ideal candidate is board certified and has substantial experience in advanced gastroenterology procedures.

Gastroenterology Locums Job in Arizona ASAP Start and Ongoing Assignment

Coverage Needed :

  • Need Gastroenterology locums with competency in ERCP
  • ASAP start and ongoing
  • Need coverage for 2 weeks per month
  • 12hr shifts with 24hr call

Assignment Details / Requirements :

  • Advanced (EUS / ERCP) represent about 10% of the daily demand.
  • Call : 24 hour call
  • Starting as soon as credentialed.
  • Will work solo / independently with 24 / 7 hospitalist support
  • This is for adult hospital patients - 100%
  • Average number of patients per physician : 10-15 / day inpatients
  • Prefer established and experienced physicians
  • Board Certified
  • Procedures include : Upper GI Endoscopy with and without ERCP, Sigmoidoscopy, both flexible and rigid, Colonoscopy with and without biopsy, Liver biopsy, Insertion / management of Sengstaken-Blakemore tube
  • Trauma Level : 4
