Process Engineer

Position Overview :

An immediate opening is available for a Process Engineer / R&D Engineer in North Augusta, SC. This role is ideal for a professional with a manufacturing background and proven experience in process improvement and problem-solving. The selected candidate will lead the company’s Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and play a key role in new product development and process optimization.

Responsibilities :

Process Improvement :

Analyze existing manufacturing processes and KPI trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve material flow.

Develop and maintain Standard Work documentation; organize production-related materials using a document control system.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and lead initiatives to improve profitability.

Act as the lead implementer and coach for the company’s Continuous Improvement Program.

New Product Development :

Support the development of prototypes and assist with pre-production planning.

Troubleshoot technical challenges during the production process to ensure successful implementation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Coordinate with internal teams to identify and execute operational improvements.

Establish and maintain reporting systems to track improvement progress and support key performance indicators (KPIs).

Utilize strong project management and organizational skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications : Required :

Minimum 5 years of experience in a process engineering or manufacturing improvement role.

Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements.

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping).

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks).

Hands-on experience with RF heat sealing and sewing technologies.

Job Title : Process Engineer / R&D Engineer

Location : North Augusta, SC

Pay Rate : Approximately $40 / hour | ~$80,000 / year upon direct hire

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM

Assignment Term : 6-month temp-to-perm
