Job Summary

Our client is seeking a diligent Billing Specialist to ensure the efficient distribution and processing of claims. The primary goals include achieving prompt reimbursement from payers and maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of all billing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribute claims to payers for efficient reimbursement.
• File paper and electronic claims.
• Report on claim filing activities.
• Print, assemble, and mail out claims with necessary documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of contract guidelines for proper billing to third-party administrators.
• Research patient encounter details and resolve claim issues with internal and external customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of claims data and maintain appropriate filing systems.
• Operate various automated data systems for information retrieval and processing.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in continuing education programs.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
