Summary :
Our award-winning client is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team.In this critical role, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Fiber Department, ensuring efficiency, safety, and production quality. You will report directly to supervisor and be a vital member of our leadership team.
Responsibilities :
- Lead your team to achieve established KPIs (key performance indicators) in areas like safety, environmental compliance, housekeeping, quality, and efficiency. You'll identify and implement solutions to address any performance gaps.
- Oversee and participate in the production of virgin and recycled pulp, ensuring it meets quality targets for our paper machines.
- Drive ongoing process improvements and optimizations in safety, productivity, quality, cost, and variation reduction.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and implement best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Provide strong leadership and collaborate effectively with team members, maintenance personnel, and other departments to achieve operational excellence.
- Assist in planning and coordinating monthly maintenance activities for the Fiber Department.
Required Qualifications :
2-7 years of process engineering experience in the paper / pulp industry.3 years of proven experience in pulp / paper manufacturing. (Prior experience with a pulp mill and recausticizing plant is a plus!)Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or a related engineering discipline.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate effectively.A commitment to safety and quality.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with SAP is a plus.
