Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,052 per week in Lexington, KY

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : PACU Duration : 14 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum of 2 years in specialty required. License : Compact or Kentucky State License required at time of submission. Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required. Must-Have : - Phase 1 recovery experience in PACU. - Minimum of 1 year ICU experience. - Experience in caring for pediatric patients. - Ability to manage arterial lines and care for ventilated patients. - Knowledge of discharge instructions and medication reconciliation. Description : This is a PACU position focused on Interventional Radiology. Rotating shift start times include 6 AM, 7 AM, and 8 AM. Candidates must have prior experience in IR PACU and Phase 1 recovery. They are also required to have experience in an ICU setting. The role involves caring for pediatric patients. The shift schedule may change based on unit needs, with 3 shifts per week. 3 to 4 late stays are required every 6 weeks. Candidates must obtain PALS certification before starting. This position does not accept local travelers from within a 75-mile radius. Candidates are expected to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities as needed. Availability to respond to call duties is required with a 1-hour response time. Candidates must have experience with monitoring Phase 1 recovery and ICU patients. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients returning from procedures. Candidates must be ready to complete all compliance requirements and competencies during orientation. This role is responsible for recovering only IR PACU patients in the main PACU during off hours.
