Schedule: Day Shift, Rotating Weekends, Holidays, On Call
Role Description:
The Cardiovascular Technologist diagnoses cardiovascular problems using medical imaging methods to diagnose heart conditions, vascular problems, or ailments involving the heart, its arteries, valves, or blood vessels. They will also assist in complex procedures, including complex PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) including CTO (Chronic Total Occlusion), multiple wire exchanges, and the use of long wires and OTW (Over the Wire) balloons.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or as a Surgical Technician.
- Certification and/or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certified.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a Cardiac Catheterization lab or Angiography lab.
