Role Summary
This role supports financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including accurate reporting, forecasting, and cash management that enable scalable growth.
The Finance Manager will assist in maintaining strong relationships with lenders and banking partners, contribute to board- and investor-level financial transparency, and provide analytical support for hiring, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
By helping maintain financial systems, cost accounting processes, and forecasting for major equipment expenditures, the Finance Manager plays a key role in supporting operational and strategic expansion.
This position is designed as a strong development opportunity : the Finance Manager will learn directly from the Managing Director, who leads the most critical elements of the finance function, while also being supported by an experienced outsourced accountant who manages the company's books.

Reporting, Planning, and Forecasting
Support the preparation of monthly financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, KPIs) within five business days of month-end, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Assist in preparing lender reporting packages and integrating them into broader financial reporting
Contribute to cash flow visibility and forecasting processes; training provided for tools such as the 13-week cash flow model
Support the development and maintenance of forecasting processes for revenue, profit, cash flow, pipeline, and expenditures
Provide financial analysis to support business plans, ROI assessments (e.g., marketing, hiring, technology), and client / project profitability
Support forecasting and tracking of major equipment expenditures in partnership with procurement and operations
Cash Flow, Working Capital & Growth Management
Assist in managing revolver and working capital facilities, including utilization tracking and forecasting in coordination with the Managing Director
Help ensure client payments remain ≥98% current by collaborating with sales and clients on collections
Support administration of early payment programs to optimize cash position
Contribute to cost accounting processes that track project margins, service costs, and bid vs. actual GP performance
Work closely with the Business Operations Manager to ensure invoices are timely and accurate
Provide financial support for resourcing strategy, including internal vs. outsourced capacity planning
Compliance, Banking, and Audit
Assist in fulfilling lender, tax, and insurance commitments to ensure timely and accurate filings
Support the annual audit process to ensure clean, on-time completion
Help establish audit procedures for financial systems to maintain accuracy and reliability
Serve as a collaborative point of contact with lenders, bankers, and the outsourced accounting team
Systems, Processes & Special Projects
Support documentation, standardization, and streamlining of financial processes
Assist in optimizing accounting systems and ensuring integration with operational tools
Help track and report incentive compensation and bonus accruals
Contribute to special projects, including supporting the selection and implementation of a new ERP system planned for 2026
Margin and Efficiency Enhancement
Provide financial insights and analysis to support initiatives that improve GP margins and cash conversion
Partner with procurement and operations to support forecasting of major equipment spend
Identify and support execution of margin-improvement and cash-flow-enhancing initiatives
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required
CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus but not required
Financial Acumen & Systems - Strong understanding of reporting, forecasting, and cost accounting with the ability to translate data into operational insights

5-8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience within an operating company environment (growth-oriented or project-based businesses preferred)
Strong experience supporting FP&A functions, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning
Familiarity with working capital facilities, lender coordination, and audit processes
Background in cost accounting and project / job-level financial tracking strongly preferred
Preferred : experience supporting ERP transitions, M&A integration, or systems optimization initiatives
