Job Summary
The Senior Data Quality Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of immunization and public health data systems. This position focuses on validating, standardizing, and analyzing large datasets submitted by healthcare providers to support high-quality reporting and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong T-SQL expertise, a keen eye for data integrity, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor data quality across multiple systems and data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Design, develop, and execute data validation, cleansing, and transformation routines using T-SQL and related tools.
- Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and stakeholders to define and enforce data quality rules and standards.
- Develop and maintain data quality dashboards, metrics, and reports to track system performance and provider compliance.
- Support data governance initiatives, including metadata management and data lineage documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to prevent recurring data quality issues.
- Prepare clear, actionable reports and summaries for leadership highlighting trends, patterns, and insights.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 5 years of experience in data quality, data analytics, or database management roles.Advanced proficiency in SQL / T-SQL, including querying, data validation, and performance optimization.Experience working with large, complex datasets, preferably in healthcare or public health environments.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Immunization Information Systems (IIS) or public health data systems.Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality tools.Experience creating dashboards or reports using BI tools.Work Environment
