Research Project Coordinator

General Summary :

• Under general direction coordinates the day-to-day administration of assigned clinical research studies which require significant independent clinical judgment and assessment in utilizing the research instruments.
• Depending on the study independently recruits screens and enrolls study subjects schedules subjects for visits administers the research instruments leads groups or provides training / education and ensures that subjects complete all requirements for the study(ies).
• Has significant responsibility for the design and revision of research forms and instruments.
• Works effectively with contacts within Sheppard Pratt and at other Baltimore area patient program sites in order to recruit study subjects.
• Demonstrates an understanding of patients / individuals with serious mental illness in communications with study subjects.
• Records and maintains study data.
• Reports relevant medical and clinical information to the principal investigator nurse (if applicable) and other study investigators.
• On project related basis provides direction to Assistant Research Project Coordinator.
