The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Help transform Corning’s global manufacturing with production-grade AI / ML. You’ll build and scale models and data pipelines across cloud and on‑prem environments, partnering closely with domain experts, controls engineers, data scientists, and application developers.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop ML systems, training and optimizing models, and deploying and maintaining them in production environments
• Build modular, high‑performance model pipelines for traditional ML and deep learning (random forests, CNNs, RNNs).
• Develop reliable data pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data from APIs, databases, files, and streams.
• Perform EDA, feature engineering, and data validation to improve model outcomes.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions; document, review code, and contribute in Agile sprints.
• Own the ML lifecycle using registries (e.g., MLflow) and MLOps best practices.
• Work across AWS services (SageMaker, ECS, S3, Glue, Greengrass); Databricks experience is a plus.

The range for this position is $106,089.00 - $145,873.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
